Three years ago today, @senchrismurphy and New London Mayor @mepassero stopped by as we sprinted toward the finish line to build out the new shop in time to open for Record Store Day 2023. Here we are in 2026 in the fully realized space (which continues to shift and shape itself in fits and starts) prepping for another RSD on April 18. Thank you to everyone who has supported this dream over the last many years. What a long strange trip it's been...

We have assembled eight of the best damn maritime music acts this side of the Atlantic and canāt wait to share them with you on Saturday, Sept 6. The event will coincide with the annual CT Maritime Heritage Festival @ctmaritimefest and will be all ages, all day, free & open to the public.

I want to send a huge thank you to Rick Koster for decades of support for our arts and music community here in New London and beyond. He has written about so many projects, bands, art shows, concerts, festivals, publications, and more that I have been involved with through the years, and I am ever grateful for it. Certainly, the thread of that coverage created some sort of secret hidden connection through it all that allowed each successive step a space to exist, build, and grow into the next. Without writers like Koster and his compatriots in the independent media tending to our community cultural garden so diligently, we are fated to be lost in the proverbial weeds. Best wishes on your next chapter, Rick. We love you and will miss your wit and wisdom in print, but hope you will forever be with us in person here in New London (you certainly will be in spirit).
