Today is the 5 year Anniversary of The Espionage Act. When we started this band, we originally wanted to play a lot of punk rock covers and other songs that we enjoyed play. As time went on, we started to grow more serious and a lot has changed within this band, but there is one thing that has not. And that is the amount of love that is shared between every member of the band, current and past, and everyone who has supported us all of these years. Thank you to all of the bands we have played with over the years, thank you @zachcarpenterbass and we still love you and think about you every day, thank you to the venues who have let us play in their venues, thank you to all the promoters who have given us a chance, thank you @jlecompt for giving us a chance with our music and helping our vision, and Thank you guys for listening to us and coming to our shows for five years and here’s to 50 more years.

IMPORTANT SHOW UPDATE ‼️
@mammothcaravandoom had to drop from the show due to their member Robert getting into a car accident. Fortunately, he is okay, but the accident has left him recovering from injuries and without a vehicle.
This show will now be serving as a benefit show to raise money to help him through this difficult time. All proceeds will go to Robert.

We are proud to announce that our new bassist is John Cerna! @jcerna_atu Please give him a warm welcome to the TEA Party ❤️
John is a phenomenal bassist, guitarist, friend, and person. He's been one of my best friends for years, but as a group, we first started working with him when we needed a second guitarist during our Avenged Sevenfold cover set for the Crash Cast Cover Show. His playing, work ethic, and energy were all top-notch throughout the entire process. We had an amazing experience working with him through months of prep and played an awesome show, all before we knew about JCs departure.
So when that time came, it made for a surprisingly easy and natural transition, as he had almost become a 5th member throughout the course of last year anyway. He had no problem stepping up to the challenge of the transition, from learning all of the original material, as well as a stout amount of covers for our NYE show.
We are thrilled to have him a part of the next chapter of TEA. Thank you all again for your continued support ❤️ -Brandon
It's with a heavy heart that we have to announce that JC Huber will be stepping away from being the bassist for The Espionage Act.
This is a personal yet difficult decision that he made some time ago, as he is looking to simply go in a different direction and focus on himself and his personal life.
It should be made very clear that there is no bad blood or hard feelings between us and JC, and we fully support and respect his decision.
JC has been, and will continue to be, a brother to us. He's been an integral part of the band since 2022, starting as a guitarist and transitioning to bass when we lost Zach Carpenter. Him stepping into those shoes was no easy undertaking. But we knew he was the right choice to honor Zach's memory. And for the time that he has done that, we are forever grateful.
We've made countless memories together, poured out heart and souls into all of our live shows and music together, and we will forever cherish our time together in this band.
As JC moves forward with taking care of himself and his other pursuits, we will be doing the same. We have been working through this transition for quite some time now. Behind the scenes, with JC's input, we have already started the process of working with our new bassist. We will make this official announcement very soon.
Thank you all for your continued support. We love you all and look forward to sharing this next chapter of TEA with everyone. Be sure and continue to support JC in his personal pursuits, too!
