My assistants know that’s my one liner. I’ll always be lifting women up. It’s tough enough doing anything in this world, but doing it professionally as a woman is a whole other ballpark. It always seems like there’s a giant female obstacle course out there.
My art career cost me my marriage and I’m OK with that because if every job was a fight, every level up a catastrophic event, and every success something to be ashamed of at home then I choose ART and me a million times in infinite universes.
Women, this is your call to take up space. To be extraordinary. If it makes them uncomfortable, you’re doing it right. If it makes them upset, you’re leveling up.
Don’t be small for anyone.
Don’t sit back any longer.
The fight isn’t in the words you say…
…it’s in you Bossing up and living the most successful version of yourself.

If I can you can, Chingonas.
I’m 5’1” and scared of heights. I have 2 kids and should be at home making dinner.
This is my biggest mural at almost 50 feet. These are the glamour shots after 12+ hours of painting for 3 weeks and just 2 days off. The hot summer sun burning my skin under a tight deadline and barely any time for breaks. I’ve been holding onto these photos because I am ashamed to come across as a “show off”.
But mural painting and art isn’t just about the process, it’s also about the reward. These pictures represent the pain and the joy of a muralist. Because 3 weeks worth of work is all it took for a legacy that will exist beyond me.

We are excited to announce Elba Raquel as our second artist leading one of our five utility boxes for our Eastridge Transit Center Art Project🎉
Elba is a muralist, art teacher, and owner of FAB Productions using her art as a bridge, uniting the community’s voice. She will help the students from Alpha Jose Hernandez School design and paint a utility box located near their school. This project will include input from the community, including the support of the Brahms/Edgeview Neighborhood Association. We are looking forward to seeing what the students and community design 🎨
