On today’s episode of “Life of a Dope Dad”: I pulled up to Morgan State University to help my daughter set up her business table for MSU’s Marketplace, where student entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to sell and showcase their products and services. Very dope. Major salute to @morganstateu for this.
My daughter happens to be the proud owner of @theebarbfactory , a luxury nail and hand care brand offering services and products like rose-infused hand scrubs, hand cream, and cuticle oil.
Over the past three years at Morgan, while being a full-time business major and active in multiple campus organizations, she’s managed to become one of THEE best nail techs on campus, with a steady stream of clients and a completely booked-out schedule.
And while I’m extremely proud of everything she’s accomplished, what I love most about her brand is that it’s not just about doing nails or looking pretty. She genuinely has a passion for helping young women like herself find their beauty from within and empowering them to bet on and believe in their ability to do great things.
Seeing her in action makes me want to shed some real dad tears.
Daddy duty looks real different when your kid is an adult and a boss at that. 😎
