“Build a brand that lasts, not one that just trends.” “Discipline will carry you when motivation disappears”- Funke Akindele. “Don’t just create, position yourself intentionally” “Visibility without value won’t sustain you.”- Seyi Ebenezer. “Community over clout.” “Real relationships will take you farther than numbers.”- Ayo Extreme. Truth is a lot of us are chasing viral moments but the real people are in the room building systems and structures. @moromoluwatiketike thank you for pouring into this generation of creatives!❤️ Came for the event, left with fresher perspectives and of course what’s a good event without a fit/vibe check?🙂‍↕️🫶🏼 If you see someone you know, tag em in the comments!👇🏼 sound design: one and only @computerpeter 🫡

•Your talent is your superpower. • Execute more than you consume. • If you only earn when you work, you’ve built a job. • Don’t just create, solve problems. • Skill is common, but structure is rare. • Your talent can get you hired once, but your system gets you hired repeatedly. • Talent is no longer your advantage, structure is.

Yesterday at Simi & Dapdson’s wedding was one of those days. The kind where the room is full of laughter, people dressed their best, emotions running high, and you’re just there watching two people start a new chapter surrounded by everyone who matters. Moments like that remind you why weddings will always be beautiful to capture. But as a creative, one thing that really caught my attention yesterday was the @glambot_africa glam booth. Those few seconds of slow-motion magic might look simple, but there’s actually a lot happening behind it. Timing, reactions, poses, confidence in the moment. And naturally, I found myself stepping into my director mode helping people figure out how to own their moment in front of it. From watching how the machine works…to being part of the process…to guiding a few people on how to pose and react so the shot actually feels like an experience. Because the truth is a machine captures the shot, but the experience makes the moment. If yesterday was anything to go by, I believe @glambot_africa is the next big thing for events in not just Lagos, but Nigeria and even Africa. and honestly, I had fun with that one. #meetthedapsons

Behind the scenes is a funny place to stand. You are close enough to the light to feel its heat, but far enough to understand how it’s built. On this set with the best team @snappcode_productions , shooting a commercial for Rahman Jago and Cardtonic, I wasn’t the one in front of the camera. I was the quiet observer. The extra pair of eyes. The guy catching moments between the “Action!” and the applause. But here’s what I’ve learned: BTS is not “behind.” It’s beneath the surface. It’s where you see how decisions are made, how problems are solved in real time, how lighting shifts the mood of a frame, how direction shapes performance, how details carry weight. I watched. I listened. I asked questions. I studied the rhythm of a professional set. Every shoot I step on is school. Every production is a new curriculum. And I’m building my own language of storytelling one set at a time. Growth doesn’t always shout. Sometimes it’s just you, a camera, a monitor, and a deeper understanding than you had yesterday. The journey continues. If you spot someone you know on set, tag them 👀🎬
