A fun lil frankenvis! Action Designers/Performers: @tateojennings @thedanielwolfe Camera: @bryce_stunts Edit: @thedanielwolfe - I’ve always admired how in some previs there will be a change visually (locations, costumes, performers, etc.), but the fight choreography, camera angles, and overall story within remained constant. My first memory is of seeing this was a rehearsal clip for Star Wars EP. III in which the performers/characters go from fighting on a blue screen studio, to a stair case outside somewhere completely different, back to flat ground in the studio again. {Reference Link: /watch?v=9zy2N3jdH-o } The opportunity to try this myself made way for this fight. We started this concept back in December that, due to the end of the year rush, we were not 100% happy with and put on the back burner till about a month later. The challenges presented were making sure the edit was as seamless as possible dispute jumping locations, the choreography matched the tone across said edit, and still getting a story across. Thanks to Tate and Bryce for playing!

The Games We Play - This short is a collaboration of creatives and compilation of fight scenes, created by performers from the Atlanta area, out of a desire to create outside of a box world/rehearsal space. What you have just watched is my own artistic take on what we captured on the day. There is so much more! Many of these fights have extended versions that have been (or will be) released by their respective parties with their own creative styles. I encourage you to hunt those down and give them your love. Thanks to all involved in this project! And may the odds be ever in your favor. - Also available on YouTube #hungergames #stuntfights #stunts #maytheoddsbeeverinyourfavor #thegamesweplay

"A hero can go anywhere, challenge anyone, as long as he has the nerve." - Chiron, Trainer of Heroes This was such a blast to make!! We made the story, shot, and choreographed everything in about 3-4 hours in order to get out there and make something. What an answer to prayer this crew is. Thank you to everyone who was willing to show up and help me geek out with this concept. Especially with all the time constraints and the weather raining out the stuff you guys were going to do after we shot this! Thank you, Jesus for making all of this happen. Until next time. Jackson, out. 2 Hour Turn Around - The Challenge: Work against the clock. Create choreography, shoot it, then complete an edit on site ASAP. - HUGE thanks to Jared and Jacob! With their help this was completed in just under 2 hours. I always find it helpful (and kind of fun) to simulate putting on the pressure of not just completing a vis in a limited amount of time, but producing a result that all parties involved are happy with. Eldritch blast! - Fjord Stone - Inspiration is everywhere: Dungeons and dragons is a fantastic creative outlet. About four years ago, I got really invested in the @critical_role campaign The Mighty Nein. As I watched these voice actors bring the characters to life via table top role playing, I thought how fun would it be to come up with choreography that reflected a couple of the characters in a little sparring match. Fjord: A sailor turned warlock Molly: Chaotic charisma incarnate Nothing too crazy, just some sword play and a lil...magic - Never stop learning: The challenge here was I've never really been one for VFX, but that's where I'm VERY thankful for a space like previs which allows me to stretch my wings, try new things, and it doesn't have to be perfect. And of course, there's always room to grow! - Huge shoutout to Avery and Bryce for playin! 10 Years Ago… I picked up a sword, memorized choreography, and performed in front of an audience. I didn't know it at the time, but I was actively taking steps towards my future; getting to tell stories through action. The road so far has been stock full of improving and expanding knowledge, sharpening skills among some of the best people, and making memories that will last a lifetime. I’ve still got a ways to go. But it’s fun to take a minute and look back. What a journey it's been, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
