One year ago today, I took a chance at my first food competition leading up to the biggest prize in food sports of the world. The World Food Championships Dallas Qualifier. Then came the World Food Championships, and winning Rookie of the Year and The World Chef Champion. Months later came The Final Table, and hundreds of hours of hard work and practice, and I am honored to be the reigning World Food Champion!

When I graduated high school, I never got a senior year book signing due to Covid. 5 years later, I get my WFC family to sign my “year book”.

Sharing this win with my family was one of the most memorable moments of my life. It started with mom and dad in 2021-2022, joining me as my sous chefs, where we won at the Final Table in South Carolina. Now, my little brother and little sister have completed my team, sealing another W for the 2025-2026 Final Table in Arkansas. Making us the first two-time World Food Champions.
God’s faithful hand was with us in all three rounds, especially in the final 5 minutes, where we witnessed a miracle before our eyes: 30-second increments were being shouted out as the protein finished cooking and was plated.
Ugly tears may have been shed during this win. 😅
