Writer & Director Drew Peardon recently received an in-kind equipment + support grant from the CSIF for his upcoming psychological thriller The Awakening, with Producing support from Victoria Givlin and Mike Migliara.
Inspired by the haunting atmosphere of The Witch, the dreamlike neon dread of I Saw the TV Glow, and the chilling POV tension of Kubrick’s The Shining, The Awakening explores fear, isolation, and the fragile line between nightmare and reality.
Through long tracking shots, surreal lighting, and immersive monster POV sequences, Drew’s vision aims to place audiences directly inside the psyche of something feared... and deeply wounded.
