Had the chance to train boxing in Boulder, always the best way to connect. Different city. Same mindset. Quality work, attention to detail, no shortcuts. Always good to learn, grow, and take something with you from new places. Big thanks @grandmasfavoritegrandson for the 1:1 session, for the knowledge, the experience, and the approach behind it. Strong, focused work and a really good atmosphere. Great training. Great coach. That’s what stays. Fokusiran rad i stvarno dobra atmosfera. Odličan trening. Odličan trener. To se pamti. 🥊🥊💪

🥊 Introducing UTF X Athlete: Luke Wu Fighting for: Off the Ropes – Rusty Gloves Parkinson’s Program Boxing out of: The Corner Boxing Club Luke got connected to The Corner through volunteering with our Rusty Gloves Parkinson’s program. After spending time with the Rustys, he began training at The Corner and now he is stepping into the ring as a Unite to Fight athlete. Rusty Gloves is our largest and most consistent program at the gym, bringing together individuals living with Parkinson’s to train, move, and stay connected through boxing and building a community. What starts as a class becomes a place where people show up for each other week after week— and Luke quickly found out… our Rustys still pack a punch 😅 (swipe for a video of him getting absolutely humbled by Ritch) Research has shown boxing-based training can reduce self-reported falls at home in people with Parkinson’s by up to 87%. Luke has seen what this program does for the members and for the volunteers. Now he’s stepping into the ring to help make sure it keeps going and stays accessible to anyone who needs it. 👉 Donate to Luke’s cause — link in our story!

Today I got a tour of the Arvada location for @ralston_house and wanted to share. Ralston House covers multiple cities around the metro area, working with the Police Departments and various agencies. When investigating an incident, this facility provides a safe place. It has advocates to care for victims and their caregivers. It facilitates professionals and victim interviews, medical examinations and resources for follow on care. They have settings to make the young ones and trans areas to play, game, or watch movies in between process steps. Interview rooms to hear their stories. A kitchen to make sure they are fed, have drinks and snacks. There are always blankets around to provide physical soothing and fidget spinners. Those are all donated by group around the city. The last picture is not a metaphor or a representation. Each marble in that those glass containers is a child or teen that went through this house. Averaging over 1000 a year, for over 20 years. I am honored to serve this cause. This isn’t for me,This is for them. I have been through this process in my life, and it was not as inviting or warm as this place. #stoptheabuse #startthehealing
