“I Wish I Worked on That Song,” Benza on ‘Phumakim’ Being His Favourite Cassper Nyovest Song
Music executive Raphael Benza has named Phumakim as his favourite @CassperNyovest song, describing the 2014 release as a standout moment in the rapper’s catalogue.
Speaking on a recent SA Hip Hop Mag Interview, @raphaelbenza said, “Cassper is a great entertainer, actually my favourite song of Cassper is ‘Phumakim’.” He added, “I can say it now since Keirnan is not around,” referencing the period when the song was released amid tensions between Cassper Nyovest and the late AKA.
Reflecting on the track, which contains references linked to the pair’s well-documented fallout, Benza stated, “I wish I worked on that song, I would’ve deleted the AKA part but hey.”
