More from @aaimiller : 03 - Template! I now move to Bristol. I have these little templates that I used the break the page into thirds / quarters. 04 - Structure the Page! (Obviously this is not the current page in question, but I put this together after the other page was in process!) I use an quilting ruler, T Square, AMES Guide, Blue Pencil and Sharpie to layout the bones of the page and place bubbles. Ok, here’s an example of a post I saw @aaimiller making on our #discord server for The Comic Jam. Take it away, Miller: Ok, I started a process series for a page. Still have to add stuff for the coloring, but here is everything up to flats: 01 - Breakdown the Page! I print out the script and scribble unintelligibly in the margins so I have a rough idea of the different panel compositions 02 - Layout! If i'm working for a client, I'll spend a little time making this legible. If I'm not working for a client I'll leave it loose. This is just so I can take those images and form them into a page that works. #makecomics #comics #sequentialart #lettering
