I wrote a poem about a tree.

But it’s not just any tree, this one is special. It has these deep green leaves that are large and beautiful through the spring and summer. They die during the winter. But right at the end of winter, they bring forth these glorious flowers that you wouldn’t even know they had. So it was only fitting that I write and ode to this tree: The Japanese Magnolia.

Just because you don’t bloom like everybody else does, doesn’t meant you’ve missed out. Perhaps you just bloom in a different season, because you’re unique, and wonderfully made. Happy Monday Beautiful People…

In life there are highs and lows that cannot be avoided. Snares that may catch hold of your legs, thorns that may seep into skin, but the scratches and bruises you've had to endure are all witnesses of the storms that have been encounter and overcome. Don't be ashamed of those imperfections, or cracks: be proud that even with them you are now wiser, you are now stronger, and ready to go after it. Whatever that "it" is for you. Stop looking at failures as a weakness, and look at them as mountains that have made your calves stronger for the next climb. It was several ways I thought to end this poem, which was really just a writing exercise. But even in my poetry I can’t lie to my own self, so it has to always end with the truth.
