Even though I have a language barrier, a sketch and some simple words can still communicate my ideas to my clients. I’ve been very lucky to have lovely clients who understand my services this way.🥰 After a design consultation, you’ll receive a sketch, and I’ll re-sketch it until you are happy. 🔽🔽🔽 Behind the scenes of 180 hand-decorated wedding favour cookies for Karina & Matt’s special day. 🌸🪭 💕Karina & Matt cared deeply not only about their wedding cake design, but also about their family and guests. They chose sakura-shaped cookies and Japanese-inspired fan design cookies as their wedding favours, thoughtfully created to share a little extra love with everyone celebrating with them. I baked and decorated each one by hand with royal icing, creating a total of 180 cookies (90 sets).🌸🪭 When I arrived at the venue, the team was still carefully preparing the table arrangements, so I handed over all the cookies as previously arranged for them to place later. A special thank you to the venue team- @manorbythelake for taking such care in placing each favour at every place setting. Cookie pricing is available on my website. Matt proposed to Karina in Japan during cherry blossom season, overlooking the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji. They wanted that moment woven into their wedding cake, so I hand-painted the scene to capture their story in a subtle, meaningful way. My signature sugar cherry blossoms complete the design, each one individually handcrafted to reflect the softness and elegance of sakura season. The cake topper and ribbon were chosen by the couple to complement the final design. The cake topper and ribbon were provided by the couple, adding a beautiful personal touch. I first met Karina and Matt at a wedding fayre, and they booked me over two years in advance to create a wedding cake inspired by their story. It was such an honour to turn such a meaningful memory into a completely bespoke design created just for them.
