a multidisciplinary painter, flowing in and out of abstract expressionism and surrealist representationalism. Their first and last solo show in the home state of Florida.

In this show the artists says: you will be face-to-face with the ultimate question. One I ask myself daily. “What is the point?” The answer is actually quite simple, so much so that it is already known. A point I
like to make is: ‘To create for the sake of it’. no matter how hard it is to make time. To do
anything other than work to afford basic necessities can feel devastatingly guilty. The normality
of the ‘starving artist pipeline’ is always at the back of my mind like an indecent feeling, knowing
I chose to pursue it anyway. The paintings you will see are all born from a joining theme but
differ in imagery and execution. Some will be easily received, and others will not come across
as a complete thought experiment. Some may even offend a few, and resonate with the
majority, vice versa. It is up to you to come as you are. to meet me where I am, and to hopefully
take a piece of value home with you that is yours to share with whomever you see fit. I am a
painter by design. a human by nature and a skeptic by choice. It’s all fun and games til RENT IS DUE

Saoirse Stack ( @k10ssk )is a self-taught artist from Orlando, Florida. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History and a master’s degree in Contemporary Art and Curation from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, where she lived for five years. Her work explores themes of gender expression, the body, and identity, often through bright color and exaggerated form.
Wrestling the Angel draws on fringe readings of Jacob’s struggle in Genesis as a metaphor for sexuality and masculinity.
