Our next exhibition is going up May 24th! Come join us as we welcome local artist Diane Quero and her show titled “The Beauty of Cardboard”.
Diane works with recycled cardboard, paper and masking tape, with her most recent work made of painted and unpainted cardboard set in plexiglass boxes.
“I am connected to my work in two ways: 1- I was taught ‘never to waste’ and therefore use recycled materials whenever possible and 2- is that I have found beauty in many discarded and recycled objects and try to find a way to bring attention to that beauty.”
Open reception will be from 1-4pm on Sunday May 24th. Receptions are open to the public of all ages, with light refreshments available.

Happy birthday to me! (a few days early) I got my first tattoos today @thecallingbell by the one only @tender.magick . I never had any desire to have a tattoo until I met Brittany at Funk & Swagger Antiques when she was shopping for a piece to use as a tea station in her new tattoo studio. As I got to know Brittany and saw the wonderful studio and community she’s built, I started to brainstorm tattoo ideas just so I could have the experience of working with her on a tattoo. It took me a couple years to finally think of images/symbols/stories I would want to live with and look at for the rest of my days. Even when I went to the studio today, I still didn’t know quite what to do with my ideas but Brittany listened to me talk about ideas I had for two separate tattoos and then she started sketching. My mind was blown as she brought my ideas to life and transformed them into the most beautiful art that I’ll proudly wear forevermore! She even mixes up custom colors! I can’t tell you how much I love these tattoos. Brittany is amazing!
