Meet Cinthia Sifa Mulanga Born in Lubumbashi (DRC) in 1997 and raised in Johannesburg, Cinthia is part of 'Uncanny Nature', our new group show opening next Wednesday in Paris. Trained as a printmaker at Artist Proof Studio in Johannesburg before gravitating towards painting and collage, her practice centers the Black female experience, placing her subjects within meticulously composed interiors that feel at once intimate and otherworldly. Drawing from the history of Western painting, popular culture and African art, she layers women, artworks and aspirational décor to create multi-perspectival portraits, opening conversations about beauty, identity, and the many @cinthia.mulanga __ Uncanny Nature brings together three contemporary artists: Méné (b. 1977, Ivory Coast), Cinthia Sifa Mulanga (b. 1997, DRC) and Georgia Semple (b. 1995, UK), each drawn to a surrealist fascination with form, and what happens when it begins to shift. __ Opening May 20th at The Bridge Gallery, Paris. Méné Ange Martial, Le jardin des songes, 2026. Acrylic on canvas, 150 x 90 cm. A garden where hybrid figures, part human, part animal, part plant, bloom between water and sky, drifting through a luminous web of dotted patterns and color. With brushes and fingers, Méné lays acrylic onto canvas without a plan, letting the work guide him. "I always move toward the dream," he says. __ Part of 'Uncanny Nature', opening Wednesday, May 20 at the gallery. Link in bio for more info.

In the studio with Méné The artist's gestures appear instinctive, almost remembered, carrying a subtle resonance of something ancient while remaining firmly anchored in the present. These layered inspirations come together in luminous works that offer a quiet, almost mystical experience. Forms are reduced, colors restrained, leaving only what feels essential. @meneangemartial is part of 'Uncanny Nature', opening on Wednesday, May 20th at the gallery.

. ON VIEW Ava Binta Giallo’s works featured in “What the Hands Know” were created between 2023 and 2025 in Gabès (TN), Vienna (AUT) and Accra (GHN).  Bone glue, egg tempera, pigment and cotton canvas form the recipe for the artistic expression. The working process is intuitive. Once the canvas has been prepared and the colours mixed, one gesture follows another – some remain visible, others are washed out. Water plays an essential role in the process. A composition emerges; this is refined until the space has fully unfolded – like an inner fable. A rhythmic approach that is close to everyday life – responsive to time and space (visible and invisible). Working without motifs, formations arise that might evoke a feeling of familiar forms or remain entirely free of any associations with specific objects or bodies. No direct representation is sought; the process of image-formation teaches an understanding of space and makes the spatial negotiation visible. @avabintagiallo
