Went on my first real “vacation” since becoming a small business owner and these are literally the only photos I took. It’s been a long time since I’ve built profiles and ran bean through a big ass gas powered drum roaster, it’s rekindling something within me, I’m feeling more connected to my product than ever. 2026 has been a year of rolling with the punches! But this is a ring I’m absolutely stoked to step back into!
The not so glorious moments of being a cafe owner - I’ve advocated for baristas to take accountability to be able to service their own equipment, and it’s something I still think is uber important to anyone looking to make their “job” a “profession”
