Lately, one thing I’ve realized is that a lot of people are carrying so much emotionally. People are tired, overwhelmed, and trying to stay strong while quietly battling pressure, emotional stress, confusion, disappointment, exhaustion, burnout, and so many unspoken things. And sometimes, it’s not that they are lazy or unmotivated, they are just emotionally drained. Throwback to a beautiful session with amazing pregnant women and nursing mothers, where we had honest conversations around managing stress during the perinatal period. It’s a season where so much is happening, physically, emotionally, and mentally, and learning how to care for yourself in the midst of it all is so important. The struggle is real, but with the right support and awareness, it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. Grateful to @pregnancylounge for the opportunity to hold this space. “I’m fine.” It’s one of the most common responses we hear. And yet, sometimes, it’s not the full truth. Many people say “I’m fine” when they’re; overwhelmed tired anxious or quietly struggling Not because they want to lie, but because they don’t know how to explain what they feel… or they don’t feel safe enough to try. So the next time you ask someone, How are you? pause for a moment. Listen a little deeper. Look a little closer. Create space beyond the automatic answer. And if you’re the one saying “I’m fine” when you’re not… You don’t always have to explain everything, but you deserve spaces where you don’t have to pretend. Speaking up is not weakness. A few days ago, I shared something new I’m building. But today, I want to talk about something many of us quietly struggle with.
