The Beadling are an English folk trio who blend traditional music and original composition, focusing on dynamic storytelling and uplifting voices that are often overlooked.
Using a multitude of instruments, the Beadling craft intricate arrangements to capture the rich emotional lives in these traditional stories and explore the impact that social identity had on folk figures of the past.

This Welsh folk musician and her band bring to life the darkest tales of the Mabinogion. Their music paints pictures of misty mountaintops and tylwyth teg with vibrant originals and interpretations of traditional verse.
The Claras are Brighton-based folk duo Clare McGlone and Claire Rakich. They perform traditional and original music inspired by Sussex and beyond, their story-songs conjuring tales of ghosts, witches, blackbirds, crossroads and abandoned villages. Through their combination of ethereal harp and compelling harmonies, The Claras are rapidly making a name for themselves.

We visited the oldest yew tree in Sussex, dating back to at least 1066. Anyway, fancy seeing yew here. While we’ve caught you, we’ve got a gig in a week at @thespacetheatre run by @matilda.dawes_music see yew there!

"We first heard the weaving song from Sandra Kerr on Bagpuss. It felt important for us to recognise the impact of Bagpuss in our lives, as it was one of our first encounters with folk music! We have fond memories of being sat in the living room in front of the tv, as wide and heavy as a bass drum, and being absorbed (and confused) by Bagpuss. It felt significant that our parents had been first to watch Bagpuss, to then later pass it on to us, just as folk songs are passed down through generations. Through the arrangement we aim to celebrate our collective experience watching and absorbing folk music through children’s tv, and the significance it has to our love for music!"
