Howdy, my name is Brittany Conard 👋 I’m really bad at elevator pitches and don’t believe what you do for work is who you are as a person. I am going to do my best to articulate this.
My people’s champ project is my very first custom chopper around a 1974 Harley Shovelhead drive train I picked up in Nov 2024. The vision is a tough 1970s style chopper - something raw and mine. The goal is more about learning, practicing welding and embracing a challenge to experiment & make mistakes. It’s the freedom to try something new!
I have only learned how to weld less than 2 years ago and just started using power tools for the first time in my life recently. First - let’s call out the elephant in the room - I am Jacob Conard’s wife. I wouldn’t have the tools or resources without my husband building out the garage space he has in our home. I’ve seen him go through multiple years Born Free and People’s champ, it really started to interest me in the last year or so to create!
A little about me: I work for a tech company for my day job. I did not grow up around this stuff. I feel more comfortable talking about finances and how to scale operations than I do using a wrench. I just learned how to use a clutch at 36, wild right?!
Although I do not have experience making parts of my own, I’m so excited to support the small businesses and homies that have crafted some beautiful things to use for the bike. I have been gathering parts in our spare bedroom for 9 months now, finally seeing it come together has been really cool. And yes, I’ve been tracking it on a spreadsheet. Lets say it all together now - NERDDDD!
I know this is incredibly tough work and have deep respect for everyone who’s been doing for years, even decades. I’m fueled by excitement and learning in real time. That might be my ambitious side talking, but at the heart of it, I just want a hands on real experience and quality time with my husband in the garage. So here I am. So stoked to be part of this with a community! Let’s go!!

This is hands down my favorite motorcycle moment ever.
Beefy didn’t choose the outlaw life, it chose him! He never had a problem with bike noise or tools running when he’d hang in the garage so when we knew his ride was coming to an end this was the only thing left to do.
He fucking loved it! He was so good and I could see his little head just looking around at everything and enjoying the breeze. Ride in peace my boy ❤️

May Wildflowers 🌻
New license plate came in this week and I’m really happy about it - if you know you know.
One more jewelry piece to add and got a little more oil than I would like coming out of my breather but we will leave that for another day.

Little Miss Sunshine ☀️ is headed to California in June!
Putting a final few touches on her. We got 7 weeks and #biltwellpeopleschamp is right around the corner - well Cooks Corner that is!
Can’t thank folks enough for following along this process with us and @biltwell_peoples_champ for the amazing opportunity! I’m so amped to see everyone’s bikes!! 👩🏭🥰
I stopped by The Conard’s for some upcoming projects, and was able to catch @thebcon on her way out. This bike turned out so nice!! Congratulations, and great build!

Weekend update 😎
🦵First try at kickstart competition and sucked lol
🥇Won Best Chopper (insert loud noises!)
Embarrassment is a wildly unexplored emotion but I’m having a really good time. My cheeks were so sore the next day. Big shoutout to my hubby for being the best partner - loading bikes, challenging me and putting up with my silly ass. @jacob_conard
Next few weeks are locked in: riding, tuning and dialing in my kickstarts before the people’s champ show and ride in June. I’m just happy to be here 🫶
Thank you to Bobby always 💯 @mr_fotography
Big dawgs day out 😎
Thank you to my media manager & mechanic @jacob_conard ❤️🔥 I wouldn’t be able to do this shit without you. Forever ride or die baby!
