PALESTINE, DAY 5: HEBRON Daoud Nassar explains how Palestinian settlements evolve. Despite the injustice of these land grabs, his work with @tentofnations is a compelling example of resilience and resistance. Will you amplify his story?

For those who’ve ever lugged their soul behind them like a ball and chain the world pretends not to see. For anyone whose ever rolled over in the morning and resented the bird’s songs or the sun’s light. Yet, somehow, you’re still here. Welcome.

Today, we salute a real one. 🫡 It isn’t the taking up arms part that makes me call for John Brown in my new song JIM CROW (though I don’t criticize him for it either). It’s his willingness to mine previous revolutionary struggles for wisdom, to move into the Black community in solidarity (though I’m not sure he should have 😅), to wrestle with strategic questions with his peers and stay in community even when people criticized him and doubted his plans, to plan and strategize for decades, to organize the resources necesary for his action, to work alongside Black leaders, to think past the battle and craft a vision of a new future, and to put his life on the line for this cause. I bet Brown was annoying AF to Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, and other Black abolitionists. But, utlimately, they seem to have respected him. And I’d take 12,000,000 John Browns in sustained, active, resistance to white supremacy to the Keyboard warriors try to jump down your throat for saying you won’t be attending their mass rally. When white people are as dedicated to ending white supremacy as John Brown, Jim Crow will be gone for good.

Fascism runs on your exhaustion. 😤 The goal is to keep you so overwhelmed, so reactive, so flooded with fear — that you can't think clearly enough to fight back. 😵‍💫 So the most radical thing you can do right now is learn to clear the zone. 🧘🏾 That means building real inner resources — not toxic positivity, not ignoring what's happening — but the skills to stay grounded when everything around you is designed to destabilize you. 💪🏾 That's why I made you a digital care package. 🎁 It's got two guided resilience practices, a stripped-down version of my song about calm I'm the Sky, and phone wallpapers to remind you to savor every good moment. 🌤️ I know. You're welcome. 😌 Comment JOIN below and I'll send it to you. 👇🏾 And remember: Do not despair. Clear the zone. ✊🏾 A new world is possible. It doesn't have to be this way.🌱
