Youth Voices. Youth Action. Youth Policy. At Altruistic & Humanitarian Aid Foundation (AHAF), we believe that sustainable development begins when young people are not just beneficiaries, but active contributors to policy conversations and decision-making processes. Through the Youth CSO Policy Consultation Session, AHAF is bringing together youth-led and youth-focused organizations to strengthen advocacy, co-create solutions, and drive the implementation of inclusive youth development policies in Niger State. This initiative reflects our growing commitment to building a future where: ✅ Young people influence policies that affect them ✅ Youth-centered development becomes a priority ✅ Collaboration drives meaningful social change ✅ Advocacy translates into implementation and impact The future of Niger State belongs to its youths, and AHAF is committed to ensuring their voices are heard, valued, and reflected in governance and development frameworks. Together, we are shaping policies that empower, include, and inspire the next generation. #youthdevelopment #youthpolicy #policyadvocacy #nigerstate #youthleddevelopment

AHAF, in partnership with the Halyma Ibrahim Babangida Foundation (HIBF), successfully flagged off Phase 1 of its Nutritious Iftar and Sahoor intervention in Kwasau community, reaching vulnerable women, men, and children with life-supporting meals and awareness. A total of 1,120 food parcels were distributed during this humanitarian outreach. This impactful intervention is structured in two phases: Phase 1 – Women’s Iftar Support and Empowerment The first phase focused on vulnerable women in the community. A total of 300 cooked meal parcels were distributed for both iftar and sahoor. Beyond food support, beneficiaries participated in an awareness session highlighting the importance of proper nutrition, while also receiving sensitization messages discouraging cultism and other social vices. AHAF volunteers conducted an interactive Q&A session addressing nutritional values, livelihood concerns, and common health challenges. During the engagement, questions were posed to participants; two vulnerable women and one widow answered correctly and were rewarded with HIBF ATM cards preloaded with ₦100,000 each, providing meaningful support toward women’s empowerment and economic resilience. Phase 2 – Street Iftar Outreach The second phase extended support to the broader community through street meal distribution. A total of 820 men and children benefited from the iftar and sahoor meals. Participants also received important sensitization on nutrition and the dangers of cultism and other harmful social behaviors. Appreciation We sincerely appreciate our sponsor and partner, the Halyma Ibrahim Babangida Foundation, for their trust and collaboration with AHAF. We also acknowledge the Niger State Police Command for joining our advocacy against cultism and related social vices. Together, we continue to make meaningful impact in vulnerable communities.
