Have I ever actually INTRODUCED ourselves??

Since I was putting the finishing touches on our 2024 highlights film, I figured a fun little highlight/intro was in order!
We are Kara & Derrick Abbey. We are roller coaster enthusiasts & content creators (I’m a professional photographer by trade & he’s a videographer). Together we love to travel and ride roller coasters and visit amusement parks - and we LOVE that it’s a “hobby” we can do altogether as a FAMILY.
We love that unlike other “hobbies” people typically have- this is one that we can ALL enjoy together. (And boy, do we have fun!)
I started vlogging our trips in 2020 as “the ultimate souvenir” and have been hooked ever since. Instead of bringing home t-shirts or shot glasses, I bring home a folder full of memories that I turn into full-fledged films that we can re-live & enjoy over and over again. (Our kids have changed SO MUCH in the last 5 years!! It’s crazy!!)

We didn't have a whole day to spend at Six Flags Over Georgia, but we did have a few coasters we really wanted to get on (plus, we wanted to use our dining plan to get our free lunch!)

Finding "Mr. Gold" at Legoland New York was a HUGE thing for our kids when we visited -
I love that it kept them locked in, excited to continue to walk around the park, AND taught them how to respectfully approach employees, get their attention, ask a question, and then extend thanks for their time.
We were incredibly lucky to not only find one, but TWO Mr. Gold's during our visit to Legoland NY last year - so what happens when you actually find him?
You can either keep the pog as a treasure (people keep them and sell them on eBay!) OR you can trade it in for a mystery prize! Maybe a minifigure, a small Lego set, or maybe you hit the jackpot and win something BIG!

Kennywood Park gave their souvenir cups a HUGE upgrade this season - NO MORE STRAWS!
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it at first, but after using them a few times (and more importantly, washing, drying, and storing them at home) - this is a MASSIVE win! I'm a huge fan!
What do you think? Do you miss the straws or is the straw-less cup a win?

For the last 11 years, we have had a child who could utilize a stroller on days at amusement parks.
That stroller has been our pack-horse, carrying everything from our camera bags, purses, coats, umbrellas, snacks, and most importantly: our water bottles and/or souvinier cups.
We've throughly stretched our stroller days to their max though and it's time to no longer bring a stroller!
We've condensed our bags and what we carry as far as we possibly can, but one question remained: how are we supposed to carry water bottles and/or souvinier cups?
I am SO excited, but I THINK I found an awesome solution!

When it comes to rolling the dice in the hopes of getting on a roller coaster that MIGHT be operating, we don't have the best track record (looking at you: Xcelerator), but we decided to go for it last weekend! We drove about 90 minutes out of our way to visit Six Flags Over Georgia and attempt to get on Georgia Gold Rusher (a coaster we SHOULD have gotten on last summer, but it was closed the entire day we were at the park).
Spoiler alert: WE DID IT.

Trying to decide between a Legoland Discovery Center and a full Legoland Theme Park? Before visiting with our kids, we didn't realize they were TWO completely different experiences.

AND, she really wants someone ELSE (cough cough) to record her having fun as proof that the one who typically documents the memories is creating her own memories too.
