Back in 2018, we started with nothing but an idea, passion, and a few chairs in a rented space. Nearly 7 years later, we’ve grown into an award-winning, industry-recognised acting school — with Adult Classes, a thriving Youth Academy, and a whole lot of ambition. 💥
We now run over 5 classes across 3 days, and we’re only getting started. From Artistic Development Programs to Showcases and fresh initiatives on the horizon — the next chapter is already being written. 💭🎭

We’re so happy to announce that Lucy Robinson (@lucyfrobinson ) has landing a role in the upcoming Customs House production (@tch_productions ) of Cherryade Supernova! 🍒🎭
After receiving more than 1,200 submissions and auditioning over 40 young performers, The Customs House have announced the cast for this exciting new production, and we’re thrilled to see Lucy cast in the role of Stevie.
Written by Andrew Finnigan and directed by Ben Gettins (@benjgettins ), Cherryade Supernova forms part of Takeover 2026 and celebrates some of the brightest young acting talent in the North East.
To be selected from such a hugely competitive process is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to Lucy’s hard work, talent and determination. 💪🏼

What a day ✨
Saturday’s masterclass with the brilliant Natalie Ann Jamieson (@natalieannjamieson ) was an absolute triumph, two classes, lots of actors, newly written scenes, and a room full of bravery, vulnerability, comedy, and craft. 🎭
Huge thanks to Natalie for her generosity, her time, her instinct, and her feedback. The notes, the redirection, the pulling out of moments nobody knew were there, was a joy to behold!
And to every single one of our members who took the floor: you turned up, you took the risk, and you did the work.
Comedy and grief, family and strangers, doctors and nurses, fathers and sons. Some of you played opposite people you’d only just met, and you trusted each other anyway. And that’s why every scene lifted off the page and into stunning reality.
This is what The Actors Forge is for. Thanks to all for making it such a fantastic day. 🙏🏼

Best known for her role as Amy Wyatt in Emmerdale, with additional credits including Vera and Doctors, Natalie brings real, working industry knowledge straight from the set to the studio. 🎭
During this session, actors will work with authentic soap-style scripts, perform scenes on the floor, and receive direct, in-the-know feedback from Natalie herself, insight you simply can’t get from anywhere else. 🎯

Lead Role for Forge member Jessica Pattinson! 🎬✨
Another fantastic opportunity for one of our members as Jessica (@jessicapattinsonactor ) has been cast in a lead role in a brand new short film as part of the Newcastle Film Club (@filminnewcastle )‘Deja View’ Challenge.
The project, titled Shacked Up, will see Jessica take on the role of Melissa, a character who embarks on a journey to unpack her relationship not only with her partner, but with herself….a role that promises plenty of depth and emotional complexity. 🎭
Filming is set to take place next week under the direction of Alex Challies (@challies.ad ), and we’re excited to see this project come to life.
Opportunities like this are a brilliant way for actors to continue building experience, sharpening their craft, and gaining valuable time on set. 👏🏼
Jessica’s motivation to keep creating, performing and pushing herself forward is exactly what we love to see from our actors. We’re incredibly proud of her continued progress and can’t wait to see the finished film. 🎥
