Brian Doherty is a professional drummer, educator, and producer based in Downingtown, PA, offering personalized drum lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. With over 15 years of teaching experience, and a degree in Music Business & Technologies from Millersville University, Brian combines real-world performance knowledge with a structured, student-focused approach.
As the Co-founder of Upside Lessons and an active touring and recording musician, Brian brings modern, professional insight into every lesson. His playing spans rock, indie, chamber percussion, and experimental styles, giving students a well-rounded foundation while helping them develop their own unique voice on the instrument.

Cory Paternoster is a Lancaster based musician, educator, and engineer who has been working in the music scene for over a decade. After graduating from Lebanon valley college in 2016 with his bachelor’s in music recording and performance, he immediately began teaching and gigging full time. Along with his two degrees, he has toured all over the country with several different bands as well as booked large scale events right here in Lancaster. Cory’s teaching focuses on fundamentals applied within songs the student enjoys. With a strong foundation in classical and modern elements he believes in equipping his students for any situation; whether it be for fun, for gigging, or even preparing for a degree in music. Cory teaches drum set, percussion, guitar, and bass guitar along with recording to students who would like to explore other aspects of music.
