Side-questing at my first film premiere. Aba Blues was a 100/10 and you know I’m real strict with my reviews 😂.
It’ll be out this Friday so make sure you flood the cinemas and let me know how much you liked it. The dialogue was captivating and gave us an insight into the psyche of each character. I also loved the build-up of conflict. The pacing was perfect. Art direction was solid and the cinematography was CINEMA! Every actor delivered like their rent was due.

Hope to see more authentic regional stories like this. Loved the fluent Igbo. As an Igbo babe, I felt seen and had to come in theme in my beaded Akwette outfit even though it was last minute. Got my hair done in this shuku updo which was beaded at the top to match my red neck beads and ankles beads (which I always wear). Too sweet 🫶🏽.
