Lift the damn weight girl. You’ve looked like a man doing other things, this is not where you draw the line. And no, you’re not going to look like a man.

Thoughts I’ve been sitting with lately: Love Edition
I’ve been sitting with a lot of thoughts lately and one of them is love. Yes, love. Deadlifting twice my body weight doesn’t mean my heart is that heavy.
I might share a few more of these but for now, what does love feel like to you?
Here’s to the softest, happiest, most loving version of myself. May I continue to bloom.
If you’re on your own journey of self-discovery and self-love, I’m rooting for you. 🤍
Catch up on Parts 1 & 2 below if you missed them. Tell me in the comments, what part of this or the previous parts resonates with you?
Since nobody in the gym said it, can you tell me my back looked fire?
Lately, I’ve had this quiet feeling that I’ve been holding back and I wasn’t really meeting my own potential so I pushed. I stopped playing it safe and pushed to 30kg on each side and boy, was it hard.
The plan now is to gradually go heavier, train with more intention, and get closer to failure. It’ll be tough but it’ll be worth it.

These weren’t loud, dramatic changes. Just quiet shifts in what I allowed, what I believed, and how I chose to respond.
If you missed Part 1, check out the post just below this one.
And I’d love to hear from you: in what small ways have you chosen yourself and how has it felt? Drop it in the comments.

I used to think I was just easygoing but I was mostly adjusting. Adjusting my needs, adjusting my voice, adjusting myself to keep the peace and keep things smooth.
