I found this hand hold trap next to my chicken coop. A raccoon must’ve gotten caught and busted the chain loose. He had obviously been dragging it around for sometime as the hand was skeletal. He got the trap caught on the chicken coop and was able to pull his skeletonized hand off. Now he roams the woods looking for the man that killed his paw. #racoons
The Caveman Music Festival, great music in the free state of Colorado. At home in Texas, the high temperature was 104. The high there was 81 and 57 at night. A short reprieve from the oppressive heat. #cavemanfest2023
Location of the old Thompson’ Ferry in Richmond, Texas on the Brazos River. This is where a part of the Mexican Army under command of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna crossed the Brazos on April 14, 1836 en route to an engagement with the Texans. They had just defeated the Texans at the Alamo. This occurred one week later at San Jacinto. The second picture shows where the crossing occurred. One week later, the Mexican Army lost and Texas became its own country.
