I really enjoyed working with Jongjoon in Cheongju on these prints. The process of designing and proofing is different with each client / collaboration. This one began with a respectful, warm & friendly email and continued in this way right up the framing and hanging.

One of the very first fonts I brought 18 years ago. Hand cut TUSCAN. Mostly from one font but the BIG E (pictured)and a BIG T are from another fount.

The provenance is unknown to me. I’d guess that it’s French & it’s clearly hand cut which places it somewhere in the mid 19th century. Possibly earlier. At 40 lines (6.6”) it’s the biggest font I own but sadly incomplete. Perhaps one day I’ll get the other sorts made.

It’s beautiful to print with, the end grain is clear and smooth.

Covid 19 prints from 2020 - 2022.
Some people are still wearing face masks. Why?
My opinion on the lockdown has changed somewhat. I’m not sure what I believe now. At the very least it seems to have been an overreaction.
