ATTENTION! Mother’s Day is Sunday! 🌸
If you forgot, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered 💐
We’ve filled the shop with flowers of all kinds, from classic cut bouquets to blooming plants and beautiful pottery to make the gift feel extra special. ✨
African violets are one of our favorite little heartfelt gifts — sweet, timeless, and just the right size to brighten someone’s day.🌸We also have dozens of other flowering plants in the shop ready to find a home 🌿
Want to make it even more personal? Pick out a pot and let us plant it up for you! A beautiful pot is what really turns a plant into a gift ✨
And of course, we also have classic cut flowers by the wonderful @alaskanflorist 🌷

If you need pots, we’ve got lots!!!
From 2” to 22”, in just about every shape and color we could get our hands on.
And yes, we’re big on functionality over here: drainage holes, catch trays, and if it shows up without one… we fix that with our drill press
Got a plant that’s outgrown its home? Bring it in!
We’ll help you pick the perfect upgrade and repot it for you.
No appointment needed—just a little patience while we work our magic.

Mother’s Day is this Sunday 💐
and our special African Violets have just arrived!
These aren’t your average violets. We bring them in from a specialty grower in New York State who creates some of the most stunning hybrid varieties we’ve ever seen—think variegated leaves, speckled blooms, and yes… some that literally sparkle. ✨
We hear it every year: “I’ve never seen anything like these before.”
They’re a classic Mother’s Day gift, or a sweet way to show anyone in your life a little extra appreciation.
Any plant is lovely… but a potted plant is a ready-to-enjoy gift 🪴
Save them the extra step—we’ll pot it up for you so it’s truly gift-ready.
We just restocked self-watering pots to make care a breeze, along with lots of beautiful new pottery.
Easy, thoughtful, and honestly… a little hard not to get one more for yourself too.

Great news for anyone who missed First Friday ✨ Andy’s teapot show will remain up in its entirety through Friday, May 8. After that, the pieces begin heading off to their new homes.
If you missed opening night, make the time to stop by this week — this is truly one of the most impressive shows The Pottery Jungle has ever had the pleasure to put on. Every teapot is packed with detail, whimsy, and imagination.
Andy has poured hundreds of hours into these teapots, and the care and craftsmanship in this collection is something really incredible that we think you should come see!
These pieces are even more magical in person, and once they’re gone, they’re gone ☕️✨

We’re hiring for summer 🌿
Looking for a sales associate to join us in the gallery + plant shop this season. Think: chatting with visitors, helping people pick out the perfect handmade piece, and sending pottery safely off on its travels.
What you’ll be doing:
– Connecting with lots of tourists (and a few locals grabbing plants 🌱)
– Wrapping pottery for travel
– Keeping the shop clean, stocked, and looking good
– Tagging + light inventory
We’re looking for someone who’s friendly, enjoys art, and doesn’t mind talking to people all day. No experience required, but always a bonus.
$17–$20/hour depending on experience
If this sounds like your kind of summer, send us a message or stop by the shop!
We’re going a little mad this First Friday… in the best way ♠️🍄✨
Join us for a whimsical Alice in Wonderland–inspired teapot show that brings the tea party to life in full ceramic form.
Created by our own studio artist Andy Engstrom, this collection highlights the kind of creativity and dedication that makes this space so special—playful, detailed, and completely one-of-a-kind.
Join us Friday from 4:30–8pm to see it all in person 🫖
Sunshine called, it wants you to have brighter accessories ☀️
Christina’s ceramic earrings are bringing the color - salmon, halibut, and mushrooms in all their bold little glory. Maybe not quite peak season for these guys, but we’re making an exception because… look at them. How cute!

Better late than never—so here I am finally getting around to saying THANK YOU!
What an incredible week of Folk Fest - Music in the Jungle. Huge thank you to the performers, donors, sound engineers, hosts, and everyone who showed up and made it what it was.
Juneau really knows how to show up for each other, and I feel so lucky to be a part of it.
Also……..fun fact: that stage is made from 3½ solid core doors. During the renovation, we pulled some doors out and instead of getting rid of them, I had the thought: “this could be a stage.” With some help from my dad and boyfriend, it became exactly that.
I never imagined those doors would hold so much talent. I’m incredibly grateful to every artist who’s trusted this space and helped build something bigger and better than I ever could have imagined. 💛
Adding a parade to Folk Fest felt like a little bit of magic we didn’t know we were missing 🎺 Here’s hoping it becomes a yearly tradition… sunshine or not ☀️
Friday felt like everything Alaska Folk Festival is all about ✨
Every kind of music all coming together in the heart of downtown Juneau. Because at the end of the day… all music is folk music.
Major love to @theparkstrippers this literally doesn’t happen without you 💛
And @fionarona , you’re a legend for pulling it all together.
🎥: David Rossow (@nomadik_imagery ) coming in HOT with the drone shots 🚁
10/10 recommend—we’ll be calling him again.
