🌲 A Change of Course🌲
After much reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel my upcoming expedition on the Pacific Crest Trail 2025. While this adventure holds a special place in my heart, I realized that my path is leading me in a different direction for now…
Here are three key reasons for this change:
1. Focus on Competition & My Startup:
You can do anything but not everything : for now I want to focus on getting a golden ticket for WSER or participating to UTMB as an alternative.
Also, my entrepreneurial journey with @trail_blaze_llc demands full attention. We’re committed to driving innovation and growth, and I cannot afford leaving for so long.
2. Financing Challenges:
Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to raise all the necessary funds & permits for this expedition yet. While disappointing, it’s a reminder that every journey has its hurdles.
3. So Many Adventures Await:
Life is full of incredible opportunities, and I’m excited to explore many other adventures beyond just one trail. PCT will have to wait for this time but it opens the door too many more routes for the FerdiQuest…

Almost a month since @blackcanyonultras … looks like this happened Yesterday and in the meantime seems already an eternity.
Reflecting on this beautiful memory with @fannygrh just before crossing the finish line.
Training has started back since then, digesting the victories of this event, the lessons too and looking forwards to my next objective : @miutmadeira

Physical break. Mental breakthrough.
Despite a break from running my PF is still taking time to heal and so I have decided to take this opportunity to experience a Vipassana retreat.
This is basically a 12days off the noise to reflect and refocus.
It will be surely a difficult challenge but I am very excited to learn new skills that will help my magic & athletic journey and hopefully my future life(s).

Not the finish I wanted, but the one my body needed. 🛑
I had a blast starting with the lead pack on those early climbs, but after 10 miles, my Plantar Fasciitis flared up. As the pain increased, my form and the joy of the run started to fade. I tried to manage it, but by the halfway mark, I knew it was time to call it a day.
I’m a bit disappointed, but not discouraged : this was always a risk. I have my doubts, but I’m staying confident and consistent. Time to restart the rehab program and ensure I’m 100% ready for UTMB. 🏔️
