𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 For International Women’s Day, IRU member ZMPD brought together women involved in transport, including from financial institutions, tech companies and professional development organisations. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 The meeting’s informal format led to open discussions on the challenges women face in business environments. Participants shared experiences of building professional authority and balancing managerial, business and social roles. The importance of mutual support and strong professional networks was a key theme. Such initiatives help build meaningful connections and create an environment where women can inspire one another to pursue further development and new challenges. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 Many participants hold managerial and leadership positions and highlighted their responsibility to foster working environments that support equal opportunities and enable women to realise their full potential. By mentoring, sharing experience and promoting collaborative, respectful organisational cultures, women leaders play a crucial role in supporting the next generation. Concluding the meeting, Anna Brzezińska, spokesperson for ZMPD and Director of the Department of Statutory Authorities, Strategy and Communication, said: “A thought that resonates strongly with me is that a woman needs a seat at the table – and if she is not given one, she creates her own. “I hope that through our actions, decisions and mutual support, we will continue building that table together.” #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #RoadTransport #Poland

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗜𝗥 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 In a meeting with IRU, Paraguay’s Director of the National Directorate of Tax Revenues, Óscar Orué, expressed strong interest in joining the global TIR transit system. He highlighted that the ongoing assessment of Paraguay’s accession to TIR represents a decisive step towards strengthening regional logistics and boosting foreign trade. As a landlocked country, Paraguay faces inherent trade cost challenges. Goods must transit neighbouring countries before reaching seaports, multiplying customs procedures, documentation requirements, and transit guarantees along the way. These are precisely the challenges that TIR addresses. Tap the link in our bio to read more on our website. @dnitpy #RoadTransport #TIR #Paraguay

𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘁𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝗭𝗲𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗲 The ZEFES stakeholder group, including IRU members the @fntr_75 and TLN, recenty met for a day of technical presentations, operational insights and live demonstrations. They reviewed progress, outlined plans for the project’s final year, and discussed the technical and operational challenges ahead. A key highlight was a live demonstration of IRU member @scaniagroup and Volvo battery-electric trucks charging at an ABB Megawatt Charging System at a warehouse in Zeebrugge, Belgium. Delivering up to one megawatt, the system confirmed that high-power charging can be completed within the standard driver rest break, helping reduce operational downtime. The Zeebrugge site also demonstrated how electrification can be integrated into real logistics operations. Read more ➡️ iru.org #RoadTransport #Decarbonisation
