Lavender Launches New Zine at The International Bar This Bank Holiday Weekend
Dublin-based drag artist and designer Lavender will host a special launch event this Bank Holiday weekend at The International Bar, Dublin 2, to celebrate the release of her debut art zine, My Head And My Genitals Don’t Talk Anymore — a mixed-media exploration of identity, intimacy, shame, and self-expression through poetry, collage, and photography.
The evening will highlight Lavender’s multidisciplinary practice, seamlessly blending design, performance, and visual storytelling in a setting that embodies the raw, independent spirit of Dublin’s contemporary art scene.
“This project came from trying to make sense of myself — the parts of me that clash, the ones that crave, and the ones that hurt,” Lavender explains. “It’s messy, it’s honest, and it’s the most me thing I’ve ever made.”
