The very talented Dee & Simon @chapter.ie have been amazing to work with to develop our brand. They had the impossible task of devising a meaningful icon, that captures our values and beliefs and that Cathal and I could agree on.
We love hearing your interpretations of our new icon and would like to share what it means to us. Our new logo represents our belief that connection is the point of it all. Nothing exists on its own. People, food and places are all linked. Growers, bakers and community all dependant on each other and working together.
The intersecting forms represent the way we work, with intention, care and respect for the process. Just like our baking things are given the time they need, and each part relies on the others.
The shape itself brings it back to where we started, making real bread. Three circles representing the three ingredients; flour, water and salt. The irregular shapes remind us of the irregular shapes found in the crumb of our loaves. Three loaves resting on one another, supporting each other.
We hope to see you tomorrow for our official launch party with @steviegrainger β‘οΈ
