Debated posting this or making an announcement some other way, but this is authentically me. Dec 11 I am now scheduled to have my loose skin removed after losing over 130lbs. I have been talking to doctors and friends for well over a year and have decided to go with Dr. Mosca in Boca Raton. Most people don’t realize that with losing a lot of weight, the side effect of lose skin that remains. No amount of weight training or exercise could ever make me look “normal”. The lowered amount of collagen in the skin after your 20s just makes it pretty much impossible to bounce back. The only option is surgery. I have worked so hard for years to get to a normal size, I just want to actually feel “normal” when I look in a mirror or wear a bathing suit. I hide it pretty well with compression clothing, but it is my biggest insecurity.
