A couple of weeks until this @playgroundkent commissioned work opens @the_beaney and to say I’m excited is an understatement.
It has been an amazing collaborative experience, bringing together 5 artists from such different creative backgrounds.
Over the next couple of weeks get ready to be introduced to Golden Time and the artists who have shaped it…

👀 Have you seen our new display?
Sometimes it’s quantity not rarity that shows that something was important. You can now see even more of the museum’s medieval pilgrim badge collection in the People & Places gallery.

ℹ Visitor notice: The Explorers & Collectors gallery at The Beaney will be closed for a private event from 10.00am to 12.30pm on Friday 8 May.
All other galleries will be open as usual.
There’s something really special about watching children explore art and culture in their own unique way - and it’s even better when the museum actively welcomes that curiosity.
Free to visit and accessible for all ages, the Beaney House of Art & Knowledge is a fantastic place for families. Created in collaboration with Kids in Museums, this shoot was a great reminder that a day out at a museum really can be fun for all the family.
It was an absolute joy for me to join and document the kids following the trail and interacting with the staff and the art.
Save this for your next visit to Canterbury. Where’s your favourite museum for families? Let me know in the comments ⬇️. #familyphotography #kidsinmuseums #thebeaneyhouseofartandknowledge #canterbury
