Youth rehab can be a real minefield 🤯 From “rest it for a week and come back” to more complex cases layered by high training loads and multiple sports. In youth environments, if it’s not addressed properly, it can quickly become a bigger problem.
William Thompson joins the 10x10 this June to highlight how rehab can be used in a school environment as a tool for youth athletic development to support students return to multiple sports, manage high training loads they experience, and put them in a position to achieve their sporting goals.
You’ll learn how to:
👉 Tailor rehab to the youth environment (not a one-size-fits-all approach)
👉 Use rehab as part of long-term athlete development, not just injury recovery
👉 Apply practical examples that link rehab back into performance and return to sport

It's on this Tuesday! If business ownership has been feeling overwhelming, you’re not alone. Bring your burning questions to the Q&A and be part of the conversation this Tuesday 19 May 2026 from 19:00 AEST
Join panellists Mia Lundquist, Mick Stierli, Rhianna Burgess, Mitchell Jones and host Sarah Hervert PhD for an honest, raw conversation about the realities coaches like you face behind the scenes.
Meet the panel:
🌟 Rhianna Burgess - owner and founder of Next Level Performance S&C in Perth WA
Rhianna has been running her small S&C business for 3.5yrs. She opened her business to provide more opportunities for semi-professional youth athletes to excel and compete with other elite level athletes. Initially, the idea was to provide online S&C for athletes in regional WA towns where S&C is extremely limited.
🌟Mia Lundquist - Director of Strength & Conditioning at SCEGS Redlands, Co-Owner of Principle Sports Performance in Sydney and Strength & Conditioning coach at Sydney Roosters NRLW.
Mia has previously worked in professional and national Rugby Union, professional Football, AFL Pathways, and sporting institutes with a keen interest in LTAD.
🌟Mitchell Jones - As a small business owner in our industry, Mitch has spent the past 10 years navigating the many challenges and opportunities that come with building and growing a successful business. As the business approaches its 10-year milestone, Mitch and his ownership team have led the organisation through everything from complete program overhauls and council restrictions to COVID closures, the development of additional revenue streams, equipment upgrades, and the launch of new programs.
🌟Mick Stierli - high-performance manager, strength and conditioning coach, and sports scientist with a proven track record of developing athletes across youth and elite pathways. As the driving force behind Katalyst Performance, Mick has built a high-performance environment that integrates cutting-edge technology, evidence-based training, and individualised programming to optimise athletic development.
Katalyst Performance continues to grow as a leading high performance environment and has recently expanded its team
At the 10x10 this June, we’re joined by coach Jack Punshon to explore the realities of delivering S&C in a regional area, and how we can turn constraints into opportunities 👊
Jack shows us how constraints can be reframed as drivers of purposeful, context-specific design rather than limitations.
You’ll learn how to:
👊Navigate the real challenges of S&C delivery in regional school settings, including staffing, facilities, and funding limitations.
👊Understand how context shapes curriculum design, session structure and long-term programming decisions.
👊Apply LTAD principles in a way that works within constrained school environments.
👊Recognise how socioeconomic factors influence engagement and consistency in school sport. 👊Implement practical, low-cost solutions to maximise impact and accessibility.
Join Jack and 9 other experts in the youth and high school S&C space!

For coaches working in rural and regional settings, this raises a familiar challenge: how do you deliver meaningful development when resources are limited and consistency isn’t guaranteed?
The AFL NT Talent Pathways program delivers a Youth Player Development (YPD) model aligned with the national talent framework, but operates in a unique environment 👉 constraints in geography, limited resources and inconsistent access to coaching support.
We are excited to have Robert Moore, High-Performance Lead for AFL Talent Pathways NT since its inception in 2020, joining the 10x10 next month to share a flexible, adaptable S&C framework that still create high-performance outcomes in remote settings, where the minimal effective dose isn’t a compromise but a strategy.
👉 Understand challenges of S&C delivery in remote settings.
👉Adapting a framework to ensure every player gets a win.
👉Why minimal effective dose can be ‘High-Performance’.

There’s a version of coaching businesses we see online… and then there’s the version most people actually live. Next week’s Q&A shines a light on the reality of what it really looks like to build and run a coaching business in the private strength and conditioning sector.
Secure your ticket at /workshops/260519-pdng-online-19-may and let's talk openly about what doesn’t get said enough:
• Why “doing what you love” can still lead to 70-hour weeks.
• What determines whether a coaching business becomes financially sustainable.
• The mistakes that quietly cost years of progress.
• The gap between personal brand growth and actual business stability.
• What social media gets wrong about success in this industry.
• What starting again from zero requires in practice.
Join other S&C professionals navigating the same realities

As an S&C coach working in the youth space, you’ve likely asked this question more than once: How do you improve athlete buy-in, engagement and attendance? 🤔
If you’re struggling to get athletes to take ownership of their training, even when the program is well-designed, we’re bringing Mia Lundquist on stage at the online 10x10 to explore a progressive autonomy model used within a school S&C setting 👉 and how you can apply the same principles to build ownership in your own environment.
You’ll walk away with a clearer framework for:
👉 Developing autonomy in your athletes.
👉 Improving training culture.
👉 Driving greater accountability without needing to constantly push for compliance.
