If there was a close friend’s post this would be it. Can’t help the feeling of having not achieved or done much with my 2025. No point dwelling or feeling a type of way about it just got to keep trying, creating and stop being weird. Brutally honest post but maybe it’s just this time of the year bringing up this conclusion. This is an actual might delete later. This post serves as a review and reminder of what I managed to achieve this year.

A curated piece for @_psweatpants_ , a London rap artist based in Glasgow, for his show with @vlure.gla late last year.
When designing this piece, the aim was to create a garment which fully encapsulates his experience of living in Scotland, but being born and raised in London.
Drawing from the traditional kilt but reimagining it so it’s fit for the grime of the streets, this one of one garment is spliced in two halves. The top portion being a boxers trunks, this concept symbolizes the modern day warrior. The bottom portion is a kilt an iconic national attire for the Scots used by warriors of Scotlands past, they wore clan tartan whilst combat to represent their families,areas and alliances.
The choice of a black and monochromatic color scheme mirrors urban street attire, reminiscent of the famous all-black uniform adopted by the culture. Juxtaposing the kilt, just as it stands out it’s also blends in.
Emblazoned by embroidered patches as a sense of expression. Characterising the shift from Payton to Psweatpants as well as the love of sticky green, these details are what make this kilt truly personal.
This kilts for the streets, our representation of our clan and one that’s for the ends.
