Building The 905 Circle been such a meaningful journey - creating third spaces for connection, community and creativity for emerging artists across the 905 🤍 the joy of doing this sort of work cannot be understated.
Behind the scenes, a lot of care (and cost) goes into making these events happen, from getting materials, doing outreach to artists & venues, planning + coordinating the workshops, booking the venues and paying facilitators to curate a welcoming experience.
If you’ve attended an event, connected with someone through the Circle, or simply believe in what we’re building, you can now support us through our Buy Me a Coffee link in our bio.
No pressure at all, your presence already means so much. But if you’d like to pour back into the space, it truly helps us continue and grow 🤍
Thank you so much for believing in the community we’re building 💌
A small update for our community! 💌
As the 905 Circle continues to grow, we’re officially transitioning off the Meetup app and moving fully into our newsletter!
If you want early access to events, updates and opportunities across the 905 region, our once a month newsletter will now be the best way to stay connected.

The 905 Circle is excited to announce that we will officially be launching an Artist Spotlight series.
The 905 Circle is a grassroots creative collective dedicated to building accessible, community-centered spaces for 20-something artists and creatives based across the 905 region. Since launching in June 2025, we’ve been creating space for over 70 creatives through our growing series of community events, gatherings and workshops.
This monthly feature will highlight emerging artists, creatives, organizations and collectives based in the 905, amplifying community-driven and underrepresented voices across cities like Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and Mississauga.
Each month, one creative will be featured on our instagram and newsletter, where we’ll spotlight their work, creative practice and upcoming projects.
✨ Who can apply?
• Creatives within the ages of 22-35
• Based in the 905 region
• Actively engaged in creative practice or cultural work
We will be prioritizing applications from emerging BIPOC creatives and creatives from other marginalized communities based in Halton, Hamilton and Mississauga. Although all eligible artists are welcome to apply.
🌸 Why should you apply?
Featured artists may be invited to collaborate with us on future workshops, events and programming opportunities.
Decisions will be made by the 905 Artist Spotlight Committee.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with one artist selected per month. Early applications are strongly encouraged.
Only selected artists will be contacted.

We hosted our first ever poetry zine workshop on Friday @wildwood.bookstore and wow our hearts are full 🥹🌸🌸
There’s something so amazing about watching a room full of people slow down, create and reflect and just be together.. from our quiet writing moments to the process of cutting, pasting, chattering about and eventually sharing our final zines, the space was so gentle and intentional.
I would like to give a huge thank you to our facilitator Ariesha @aries.mais for facilitating so beautifully and guiding everyone through the process with so much intention and care (special shoutout to crafting an amazing resource list 🫶🏾)
And a warm thank you to Wildwood for welcoming us in the space and helping us curate such an amazing workshop! 🤍
We’re so excited to be working on a collaborative 905 Circle zine 👀 featuring our creations from the workshop ✨
Thank you to everyone who came through, created and made the space what it was!
Until next time, 905 ♡

Our Intuitive Astrology workshop recap ✨🔮
On Tuesday, we hosted an astrology workshop at @aquanovabeer
The energy in the room was absolutely immaculate. Never in my life had I been in a space with so many people who share a love for astrology like I do.
Darnie & I offered mini birth chart readings throughout the night, and we spent hours diving into astrology, reflecting on our experiences, and exploring the patterns that shape who we are 🥰✨
It was such a special night of connection, curiosity, and self-discovery.
Thank you to everyone who came through, we can’t wait to do it all over again 💫
More workshops coming soon… stay tuned ✨
Until next time, 905 🤍
