A year ago today, I graduated university
And honestly? I thought life would feel a little more figured out by now.
I’ve worn many hats this past year, some I never planned to wear.
I Navigated a 9 to 5 (which is actually a 4:30 am to 9 pm) in a field I do not know myself in,
woke up before dawn, commuted across lagos half asleep, showed up tired, confused, stretched thin, but still showed up.
I juggled roles I didn’t feel equipped for,
chased dreams that didn’t always chase me back,
built
@tiosthetics_ with shaky hands and quiet hope, reached out, got silence, then reached out again.
Some days I felt burnt out, other days I felt invisible,
but the one thing I never felt ready to do was stop.
The year didn’t unfold the way I imagined,
but somehow, I still believe in what I carry.
I still believe in me.
So here I am, one year out of uni, thankful to God, still building, still dreaming, still showing up for the life I want.
Here’s to the version of me that hasn’t given up,
and to the version of me I’m slowly becoming.
