The NONSEMBLE presents Clown Flicks II: Return of Clown Flicks. A film festival featuring films that are 2 minutes or less on Friday October 10th. LA’s own resident company of avant-garde Art Clowns, the NONSEMBLE, brings their appreciation for the absurd to their very own film festival that celebrates lo-fi DIY filmmaking. With four categories including Clown, Experimental, Melodrama, Thriller the films range from from less than 1 second to 2 minutes maximum in duration. The submission deadline is October 5th at midnight. There will be prestigious awards given including Worst Original Song, Worst Cinematography, Worst Directing, Most Gratuitous Nudity and more. There will also be an “Audience Choice” award determined by voting.
Immediately following the screening in each category there will be a live 1 minute Q and A.
Rules:
Films can be any length from .001 second to 2 minutes. (Only the first 2 minutes of films longer than 2 minutes will be screened)
It takes a lot of effort to get an idea off of the ground. We pitch, select, rehearse every piece with care.
