It should also be noted that this show is in honor of a dear friend and cousin, Tyler Merritt. On September 14th, 2011, Tyler died in a car accident when he was just 19 years old. He was a fellow musician and all around fucking awesome person. He was a part of the music scene up in Bethlehem, PA, with his own band, Toxic Sunshine. My family suffered a hard loss 14 years ago, and they still suffer now. I especially resonate with his legacy, considering I didn’t know how similar we were until my grandmother passed on his story when I opened this venue. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Jimmi of The Mega Yeah, who played with Tyler in his band and continues to carry on his story So for Tyler, bring your spirit, your kindess, and your passion for music. This little punk theme we have going wil hopefully make him proud <3
