Meet your Event Editor. ✨ Since it’s been seven months of running my business, I thought it was about time for a ‘proper’ introduction. Hiiiii, I’m Lizzie - founder of @the.event.editor - a passion project that was born out of a love of providing couples with their most cherished memories from their wedding day. When I created this page in February, I had no idea (or expectation of) what the demand would be for this Spring/Summer. I’m so happy to say I have been trusted by so many couples to document the most important day of their lives, within some of the most gorgeous venues in Cumbria. (Something which I will always be so grateful for.) A little bit about me…I live and work in Carlisle. My 9-5 is in video editing, content creation and social media management for a range of clients across Cumbria (all my previous jobs since graduating LJMU with a degree in Fashion Communication 8 years ago have either been sales, marketing or events!) When I’m not working or capturing a wedding, you’ll find me: ✨ Spending time with family and friends (I’m so lucky to have the Lake District on my doorstep); ✨At a Carlisle or Sunderland football match (I am football daft); ✨With my head buried in a fashion magazine, listening to a podcast; ✨Or, outfit planning (my absolute favourite hobby😂) So excited for all the weddings still to come over the coming weeks (and next year)! Being able to produce professional yet personal content for couples and capturing the unfiltered moments that are so precious is something I am so passionate about. ✨ Our first She Means Business Cumbria event of 2026 ✨ Yesterday we brought together over 45 incredible women in business for our first event of the year 🤩 The focus of this event was all around finance… a topic many of us avoid, feel unsure about, or have often been made to feel sits within male-dominated spaces. Our intention was simple, to help women feel more confident, informed and empowered when it comes to their money. A huge thank you to Alice Wilkinson & Ruth Power from FMB Planning (Financial Management Bureau) for creating such an open, supportive space for honest conversations around finances, future planning and money confidence. Despite the Cumbrian weather doing its best ☔️, everyone enjoyed the most delicious brunch supplied by @thehungryfarmercatering , whilst connecting with one another! A special moment from the morning was our Business Spotlight ✨, awarded to Jess from @wildmuselakes , celebrating the courage it takes to follow your passion and bring a vision to life, something we are so passionate about championing within Cumbria’s female business community.
