Today I turn 38. ✨
And honestly? I’m not afraid of getting older anymore.
Somewhere along the way, aging stopped feeling like “losing youth” and started feeling like gaining myself. I’ve lived enough now to know that confidence comes quieter, peace becomes more important, and the things that truly matter become so much clearer.
This year wasn’t perfect, but it was real. I worked hard, created things I’m proud of, learned difficult lessons, loved deeply, healed parts of myself, and kept going even when life felt heavy. And I think that’s an accomplishment too.
At 38, I don’t have everything figured out — but I trust myself more than I ever did before. I’m softer in some ways, stronger in others, and much less afraid of taking up space in my own life.
Getting older is a privilege. Not everyone gets the chance.
So today I’m celebrating all the versions of me that got me here — the lost one, the hopeful one, the exhausted one, the brave one. They all mattered.
Here’s to more laughter, more growth, more beautiful memories, and becoming more myself with every year that passes. ✨

We started this project in January 2025. It is his first and only tattoo. After about 8-9 sessions, today we finished this full freehand maori tattoo. I am more than thankful for your trust and your patience, @mariangligan . You sat like a champ every time, we talked about fun things, had a great time. I will really miss our sessions, so hopefully your other arm will itch soon haha 😅
