#TAKEOVER with Joshua San @the.cwolf G’day my name is Joshua San, also known as Cwolf. I’m a first nations photographer living out in Brunswick, Victoria and I’m stoked to be taking over Canon’s Instagram this weekend. Photography is more important than we realize. It transcends language, helping us communicate to anyone in any walk of life. From city streets to the deepest forest, we can experience the world through the eyes of anyone, viewing those experiences both past and present, securing photography as our first universal language that almost defies time itself. I've spent the last 10 years shooting for people that inspire me. Shooting tours for some of the biggest names in music, sports and world influence. I've never pigeon-holed myself to one niche, and captured the little moments that inspire me, which is what I think is the most important thing for any creative to do. I've been blessed to be able to travel and shoot, but one of my favourite things to do is take my old Canon ae1 film camera out, and shoot street photography around some local spots. I am always looking for hidden gems. For me shooting film photography has made me a better photographer. It has helped me refine my eye, and be more intentional with what I shoot. So it’s safe to say Canon has had me covered on both my film and digital photography journey, so, on’ya Canon! The Negombo Fish Market in Sri Lanka was a eye opener of an experience. I loved capturing portraits of these fisherman coming back from 3 months at sea, to deliver these fresh fish. Stillness, serenity, peace… Sigiriya… THIS IS SRI LANKA Some shots from my recent shoot in Sri Lanka with @intrepidtravel . We explored Sigiriya in the early hours of the morning, and made the hike to the top, to watch the sun rise as the local monkeys came to share the view with us. Later making out to the Dambulla Cave Temple, to explore the buddhist cave temples.
