We’re talking about: ✨ wellness beyond survival ✨ culturally responsive care ✨ sexual health & visibility ✨ trust, safety, and accountability in healthcare systems
Healthcare cannot continue to talk around Black queer women while expecting us to trust the systems we depend on.

I created and will be leading a panel at the NOAGE Symposium on LGBTQ+ Health & Wellness on May 16 at Ochsner’s Center for Academic Excellence in New Orleans.
“Reimagining Wellness for Black Queer Women—and the Healthcare Systems We Depend On.”
This is a critical conversation centered on how Black queer women actually experience wellness, safety, and care within the healthcare systems we rely on and where those systems continue to fall short.
We’re redesigning care to actually see us.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

We’re launching something new.
S.H.E. PrEPs™
A new initiative from The Circle of S.H.E. designed to change how we connect Black women and LGBTQ+ communities to HIV prevention.
Because the truth is—
People don’t need more information.
They need better access, better support, and spaces that actually feel like them.
That’s where we come in.
At the center of S.H.E. PrEPs™ is one belief:
Wellness is Access.
We meet people in wellness spaces, in community spaces, in real life conversations—and connect them directly to PrEP education, navigation, and care without stigma or barriers.
We don’t wait for people to find the system.
We bring the system to the people.
Our first activation is coming soon:
PrEP & Pilates: Strength in Protection
Movement. Education. Real connection to care.
Stay connected with us to learn more about our upcoming activations.

I work at the intersection of LGBTQIA health, sexual wellness stigma, and Black women’s whole health from a community-trust perspective. Community trust is the strategy.

Today filled my cup in the best way. 💛
I had the honor of connecting with students and 29 amazing young girls from St. Mary’s—and whew, the energy in that room was everything.
There is nothing more powerful than a Black woman. We pour, we lead, we nurture, we show up—and being able to speak life into the next generation is something I don’t take lightly.
We shared, we laughed, and I was able to gift hygiene products and my book—just hoping every girl left feeling seen, valued, and powerful in who she is becoming.
This is why I do the work.
Thank you for having me

Deep gratitude to The FreeLux Project for such a beautiful and intentional honor. Being recognized alongside so many incredible women who are truly doing the work made this moment even more meaningful.
The room was filled with brilliance, purpose, and power, and that’s something I don’t take lightly. To see a male-led organization show up to uplift and celebrate women, especially Black women, speaks volumes and reflects what true allyship looks like in action.
Thank you to CAN Community Health and Gilead Sciences for supporting this experience and investing in spaces that honor our impact.
I’m still humbled. I’m still grateful. And I’m carrying this with me as fuel to keep going. 💛
Knowledge is protection.
Among young women diagnosed with HIV ages 15-24, the majority of new infections occur through heterosexual contact, often with partners who are unaware of their status.
At The Circle of S.H.E., we believe education is power. When young women have the facts, they can make informed choices about their health and their future.

Pleasure. Protection. Power.
Tuesday night The Circle of S.H.E. Collective Dinner brought women together for real conversation around reclaiming Black women’s sexual health.
From the bartender to the caterer, the photographer, the décor, and the DJ — every piece of this experience was created by women.
An intentional space.
Intergenerational connection.
Joy, honesty, and sisterhood all in one room.
Thank you to our speakers, attendees, and sponsors who helped make this moment possible. The energy in that room was something special.
