In this workshop you will learn how to throw a medium-covered jar in porcelain. After the jar reaches the leather-hard stage, I’ll exhibit some trimming techniques. Then, I’ll outline a carving pattern and share my methods for carving onto thrown pots.
I’ll demonstrate the process of throwing, trimming, assembling, mapping out decoration, and carving a medium-covered jar with an intricate geometric pattern.
