Our Little Jamaica Music History Walking Tour is back and better for another year 🤗🖤
Our tour officially kicked off yesterday as we had the pleasure to host a group of 80 students from Chinguacousy Secondary School and pass on some of this beautiful history to the next generation ✨
We look forward to highlighting the vibrant musical culture and stories of this historic community through our tailored interactive experience for many more groups to come!! 🙌🙌
Sign up through our Eventbrite today and enjoy the tour for yourself 😜
We heard that a certain someone was dropping tonight 🦉
He’s made it hard to forget his Canadian roots recently as he continues to be a representation of black music in Canada and a staple within the culture. We hope you’re all as excited as we are for the album, let us know how you think ICEMAN will go 🤔 🧊

April 14th, 1959, this earth was blessed with a phenomenal talent and an even brighter soul. Molly Johnson turns 67 today and we are happy to celebrate all her contributions throughout the years and know we’ll celebrate many more.
An award winning jazz vocalist, Molly has shared her gift of music to the world since 1979, recording, writing and performing songs ever since. Beyond the music, her philanthropy and dedication to supporting communities in need has earned her an Order of Canada. Her impact has reached countless people through her charitable work and her talent and she represents exactly the kind of story we look to champion through the archives.
Happy Birthday Molly, thank you for all your work and we wish you many more 🎂🎂🎈🎈
CKUT 90.3 allowed us the honour of sitting down with Montreal Music Legend Ranee Lee for what was a magnificent discussion. Check out some milestones she considers to be her biggest achievement and more when we release the full conversation on our YouTube along with other long form content we have in store for you 😉

On the final day of Black History Month, we want to shine a spotlight on an incredible organization we had the privilege of working with this month.
@the.cbma is dedicated to preserving the history and celebrating the contributions of Black Canadian musicians. Their work serves as both a vital archive and powerful evidence of the past and ongoing cultural impact of Black artists across Canada.
Last week, we were glad to welcome them to the atrium at @bbishopairport for a musical performance by the legendary @carlallenone , and to host them in a booth through our partnership with @torontoassociationofbias . They engaged with passengers about their mission to amplify and preserve the largely untold stories of Black Canadian music history.
We encourage you to explore their resources, support their initiatives, and attend their future events whenever you can! Learn more at .
We can’t believe we’ve already reached our final event after a month that’s felt like it’s gone by in the blink of an eye but we’re very excited for what we’ve saved for this final event and can’t wait to end off our celebrations with a bang! For our west coast people, we hope to see you tomorrow at the museum of Vancouver and we know you’ll make it a time to remember 😏 🙌
