๐Qavali, Broad Street
Hello foodie friends! We've been a bit quiet here at That's Yum Still but yesterday's bottomless brunch at
@qavaliuk inspired us to make the effort to post again - what a joyous day! ๐ฅ
Prosexxy Queen: This was our first time at Qavali and had been on our to do list for some time. The elegant interior first captured my attention and I just had an immediate feeling this was going to be an enjoyable experience. I had the 'samsun pide' to start, which is a traditional Turkish flatbread. I opted for the lamb version, which teamed with the melted cheese, onions and garlic was just divine. I then had the Charsi tikka masala with saffron rice, which was absolutely delicious. The chicken tikka pieces were charcoal smoked and the masala sauce had just the right hint of spice. Our waiter also came over regularly to take our drinks orders, which doesn't always happen at bottomless brunches! Overall, an amazing experience and we'll definitely be back to try the dinner menu.
Cocky T King: When I initially walked in, I was expecting it to be heaving and loud, but instead it was a very nice and mellow atmosphere. I had the Baigan bharta as my starter, which was extremely nice. A bit too many peas for my liking but still tasted amazing. I had the Punjabi chicken tikka as my main with a butter naan, which was unreal. It would have been nice if there was some sauce to accompany the tikka, but either way, it was lovely. The naan was amazing and cooked perfectly. We had the cocktails upgrade, which had three different cocktails included - the King of Fruits was my favourite. However, the highlight for me was definitely the food and we'll return soon enough to try the rest of the amazing menu.
