Tb to this last minute Napoli short 🇮🇹
From the first question of
“Do you want to come to Italy and shoot a short film next week?”
To the last minute location and actor scouting in Napoli
The wonderful people who “lent their street” to us
And the talented and joyful team as well as the down to earth, interesting people we met along the way
This project was the definition of a fun adventure
And the result is something to look out for✨🇮🇹
Small but mighty team💕

⭐️ "Eszter" - Una Kovac ⭐️
⠀
We met @thatoneuna at the beginning of the year, among more than 50 actresses during our online casting for the female lead of "1956". Not only did her performance give me goosebumps over Zoom, but from the very first moment she was incredibly supportive of us and the project - sending us links to funding opportunities, interesting industry contacts, and useful insights long before we had even cast her. And of course, that support continued all the way through production ✨
⠀
On set, she never stopped helping everyone around her. And if that doesn’t already tell you everything about her as a person, her work ethic and performance will: I have never met someone so prepared, so determined, so precise. I knew after her “Got it” that she would deliver. Watching her act made me smile from my director’s monitor every single time. I already know I’ll miss Una on every set she’s not part of from now on 🌷
⠀
Una, working with you was effortless, beautiful, and your work amazes me every single day in the editing room. I’m truly in awe. Thank you, so, so much 🩵

Sisyphus can dream
Today I would like to share a small glimpse into an actors life.
Often as actors we are met with questions such as:
“What have I seen you in?”
“No Oscar yet?”
“What’s your plan B?”
But not many know of the hours poured into learning a last-minute script that came in just as you are running around as made of honor on your best friends wedding, self tapping on your holiday with strangers you’ve awkwardly asked to jump in to read for the other part, editing during the lunch break of your everyday job, cancelling plans to prep for or go to auditions, receiving the most auditions as soon as you book time off and the list goes on.
Ever since I was a kid I knew who I wanted to be, what I wanted to do.
To become an Actress.
With time I’ve learned that this dream demands a lot of sacrifice, hard work and above all, unyielding perseverance for it to come to fruition.
But in the moments it does, it’s all worth it.
The past couple of years I’ve had the privilege to collaborate and work with some truly incredible creatives. From wonderful casting directors to acting coaches, creative powerhouse directors and producers, brilliantly gifted cinematographers, talented light and sound technicians to make up artists and costume designers who keep the backstage alive and all the other amazing departments as well as my fellow actor colleagues. (Spotlight for catering that always has a special place in my heart and stomach🫶)
If you are reading this and we worked together, (or we became friend after you’ve helped me selftape) know that our collaboration and the creativity we got to share with the world makes all the difference and this dream so worth it ❤️
And a Special thank you to all my loved ones who support me from the sidelines, always cheering, always ready to celebrate every step of the journey 🫶
Because no matter what, Sisyphus will dream 🪨
